We are sad to stop this mission, but with Belarus's break with the United States, their increasing relationship with Russia and their work to close orphanages, we no longer can provide support.
We are now organizing and often using Service Sundays where we shorten the service to participate in mission work.
Community Outreach:
As needs arise in the community, our congregation organizes to fill the gap. We also seek to support the outreach ministries of our fellow Disciples of Christ congregations. Our recent efforts include:
- Cleaning supplies delivered to Fish ( see photo) from their newsletter (June 2026)
- Coats for children - yearly collection— in partnership with Parkway Gardens CC
- Toys for Christmas - yearly collection — with Parkway Gardens CC
- Hygiene packs for Venezuelan migrants— distributed at shelter in Halstead Ave 2024
- Meal kits for families — donated last Christmas to Parkway Gardens CC (December 2025)
- Kits for Misty’s school — Spring 2026
- Financial contribution for the end-of-year field trip, K-2nd grade at Wadsworth Elementary June, 2026
